For many years, we were active in the fresh flower trade in and around the Bleiswijk flower auction and later in Aalsmeer. With this company, we supplied our regular customers in Germany with flowers and plants.
We noticed an increasing demand for dried flowers among our customers in the year 2021, as well as a growing need for speed of delivery. The entire flower sector is already undergoing a busy change. This shift is pushing more and more line drivers aside and having to make way for internet sales. The latter bothers me personally as far as fresh flowers are concerned. A box of fresh flowers one afternoon in a postal delivery box…. and then the idea behind ‘trockenblumengrosshandel’ was born. Our first website. Obviously focused on Germany, the country we were already doing business in.
The increasing demand for fast delivery and dry flowers made us set up a webshop. Dry flowers are not (so) sensitive to transport via a parcel service. With our years of experience in the flower business, we have not only many connections and suppliers, but also knowledge of quality and price. We can buy from almost any company at the auction. At the start of our dried flower adventure, we were still physically in Germany for 2 days and sent orders to customers 3 times a week on fixed days. We have since chosen a course in which we focus solely on dried flowers. We have since grown and import ourselves from various Italian producers, have Dutch growers as suppliers and do fine business with partners who provide flowers for us in Turkey. The direct import connections obviously allow us to buy cheaper. Now your stock is not in Aalsmeer, but with us, in Haarlem. We have regularity in our import line so we don’t have a massive stock, but sometimes we do sell out on a product. With a trump card, precisely Aalsmeer!
